Powder coating is a completely different form from general coatings, it exists in the state of fine powder. Because no solvent is used, it is called powder coating. The main features of powder coatings are: harmless, high efficiency, resource saving and environmental protection.
Powder coating is a new, solvent-free, 100% solid powder coating. It has the characteristics of no solvent, no pollution, saving energy and resources, reducing labor intensity and high mechanical strength of the coating film. It comes in two broad categories: thermoplastic and thermoset.
Powder coatings Thermoplastic powder coatings are composed of thermoplastic resins, pigments, fillers, plasticizers and stabilizers. Thermoplastic powder coatings include: polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated polyether, polyamide, cellulose, and polyester.
Thermosetting powder coatings are composed of thermosetting resins, curing agents, pigments, fillers and additives. Thermo setting powder coatings include: epoxy resin, polyester, and acrylic resin.
